A local winery had too many grapes so they opened the vineyard to anyone who wanted to pick grapes free of charge! The kids had a great time and we walked away with a bucket of Merlot grapes and a bucket of Cabernet grapes. There were 3 other types of grapes but the kiddios had enough "farming time." They are definitely suburban kids ... I heard a lot of talk about bathing as SOON as they got home. Despite their urge to be clean they had a good time. Now they are plotting and planning on what to do with the load. Perhaps jelly? juice? frozen grapes?

What a fun time! Do you recognize a difference in flavor between fancy schmancy wine grages and your average supermarket red seedless?
They taste much sweeter.
