Today is St Paddy's Day so we thought it would be best to stay in Lawrence and avoid the madness that is second only to Ludachristmas not to mention avoiding the police who have hawk eyes when it comes to Cali plates. So...we watched the locally parade and watched college kids bar hop. But the fun part was the seriously sweet shopping on Mass Street ( think 3rd street with fewer stores and better architecture). We visited all the favorites --Blue Dandelion (an adorable children's boutique) and Jock's Nitch (all things KU). We stopped off at Old Navy and got some wonderful deals! I spent $70 dollars and got 19 clothing items. A woman's shirt for .54 cents, puff jacket for $6 etc etc... the average price was $3... We then ate at Local Burger, a small mom and pop restaurant that creates it food from local items. Mike and I enjoyed elk burgers while Ayden got a delicious lamb burger. Each item description on the menu tells you where the food comes from and how many miles away it is. All part of the Locovoire movement.
